For 60 years, the North Toronto Players' high-calibre musical theatre productions have appealed to people of all ages. In the last two decades NTP has focused on interpreting and re-imagining Gilbert and Sullivan operettas for contemporary audiences. Recent productions have placed the Mikado in the wild west, Iolanthe in Ottawa, and the HMS Pinafore in outer space.

As well as having a reputation for innovative, fun-filled productions, NTP is an inclusive and supportive community. To join, all you need is a love of musical theatre and the time to devote to it.

Upcoming Show

We return to the Papermill Theatre with the show we premiered at the Papermill in 2018, Lear Incorporated. We wondered if we could turn Shakespeare's King Lear into a Gilbert and Sullivan Operetta. And we did! Corporate maneuvering replaces medieval battles and, in true G&S fashion, a paradoxical twist averts the tragedy. Come and enjoy familiar Gilbert and Sullivan tunes joined by equally famous melodies by Bizet, Offenbach, Strauss, Rossini and Mozart. We hope you will enjoy this musical tale of succession.
